Samantha is set for surgery on January 20th and on February 26th, 2010.

Tyler participated in batting practice this weekend with his team, The Mustangs.  Here is an email I received from his coach today:

Tyler's smile yerterday and the way his teammates rallied behind him were the highlight of the year for me.  We played a stick ball game and we have special lines for the boys to hit past to get a single, next level a double and hitting the fence is a triple.  I also make marks for Tyler. (I told Tyler if he hits the ball to one of the clay areas like around 1st, 2nd or third that would be a triple for him) His first time up he struck out and his other 4 teammates encouraged him and they accepted the out just like one of the other players.  His next 4 plate apperances he hit a single.  We are down to the last inning and his team is behind 2 runs with 2 outs and runners on 2nd & lst.  Tyler steps up and has 2 strikes on him and on the next pitch he hits the ball all the way to the pitchers mound.  I said double and he quickly reminded me that was hit to the clay so he hit a triple.  So Tyler's hit has tied the game and the winning run is at 3rd.  Redneck is the next batter up and he hit a bomb to score the winning run.  Even the losing team was excited.  We had a great practice and Tyler is just one of the boys.  I'm sure he was tired out since we played 6 innings.  We will do whatever needs to be done to make the video happen.  We are suppose to have a tournament this weekend if that will work out.
