It is FCAT week at school. Tyler and Samantha are nervous but they will do great.

Tyler has been very busy with baseball, babysitting, school work(good grades), and video games. I watch Tyler and he tries very hard to put on weight but it just isnt happening. Lately I have been concerned about him because he seems a little more twisted then normal. He never complains but I can tell he is uncomfortable. He thinks that his battery is dying on one side but it has been checked and seems to be fine. They recently did a CT scan on Tyler and are checking for lead placement to make sure they didn't migrate again.

Samantha has had the best results I have seen to date from her DBS surgery. Last week she went in for programming and they truned up the setting and all week her back seems to be straighter and her ankles are definetly looser. I can straighten her feet out easily where it was a struggle to do so before. She still cannot put pressure on her legs but maybe we can get a temporary cast or brace on them for a bit. We are going to keep trying new setting to optimize her benefit because she is still scheduled for DBS surgery again in June. We are hoping we can get good enough results to postpone or cancel her surgery. I feel like a huge weight was lifted even if temporarily because she is a little more comfortable when sitting and sleeping.

Luke is playing soccer every Wednesday. He loves playing and is good. A few weeks ago in his first game he scored two goals then ran around and started doing push ups. Crazy. I thought that was pretty funny. He must have seen it on tv. I won't let him do that again but it is fun to watch him. He is a very good natured kid jsut has a motor that goes 1000 miles per hour.

Saint Michelle has been busy driving kids to and from practice, cooking for her wonderful husband, taking the kids to and from school, helping on committees for Tyler's Hope, and doing Zumba for sanity.

Tyler's Hope has the Ragtime Roast coming up May 7th(http://dev.ragtimeroastgainesville.org/2011/03/tickets-2/ ) The Tyler's Hope center and the Movement disorder center has the grand opening May 25th. The first committee meeting for the Tyler's Hope golf tournament was held tonight. We have a title sponsor(Florida Farm Bureau) and about seven gold sponsors already. We are adding some great new events and plan on having the biggest year yet.
