Emily White is the Executive Director of Tyler’s Hope for a Dystonia Cure, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, advancing research, and ultimately finding a cure for dystonia. With a deep passion for advocacy and a commitment to creating meaningful change, Emily has been instrumental in driving the foundation’s mission forward. Before stepping into the nonprofit sector, Emily had a successful career as a Realtor, bringing years of experience as a Realtor Services Coordinator, business development, hospitality, management, and fundraising. Her background in these industries has provided her with a strong foundation in relationship-building, strategic planning, and event coordination—skills that she continues to apply in her leadership role at Tyler’s Hope. As a leader, Emily focuses on strategic partnerships, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement to accelerate progress in dystonia research. She plays a pivotal role in organizing key events, including the Dystonia Think Tank, the Tyler’s Hope Crawfish Boil, and the Annual Hope Weekend, bringing together researchers, supporters, and industry leaders to further the foundation’s goals. A Gainesville native, Emily is actively involved in the Junior League of Gainesville, contributing to community initiatives that foster leadership and support local causes. She is deeply committed to building strong collaborations within the community and working toward a brighter future for those affected by dystonia. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Florida State University, bringing a unique perspective to her work through her background in the arts. She lives in Gainesville with her husband and their two children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working in her garden, and supporting initiatives that make a lasting impact.
